Where people are going
What a day really costs
Researched daily budgets, real prices and the up-and-coming spots travelers are heading to next.
Your budget is in dollars. Dinner was 450,000 đồng. The hostel was a week, paid upfront.
Bank apps can’t tell you the one thing that matters on the road: how much you can still spend today.
Trip pace
See how today fits the whole trip.
Splurged on a cooking class? Nomad Budget shows whether the trip is still on track, and what you can spend each remaining day.

Built for how you actually travel
Any currency
Pay in kip. See it in dollars.
Type what you paid in the local currency. Each expense keeps that day’s rate, so your totals never drift.

Spread big costs
A week of rent isn’t one bad day.
Spread a hostel, a tour or a rail pass across the days it covers, so each day carries its share.

Where it goes
See where the money actually went.
Food, beds, buses, tours: every trip broken down by category, so you know what to cut and what was worth it.

No signal, no account, no problem.
Everything lives on your phone, so you can log a street-food dinner in a dead zone. Rates refresh when you’re back online.

Money tips from the road

Georgia
In Kazbegi and Svaneti, book guesthouses with dinner and breakfast included. Half board often costs less than eating out.

Thailand
Take the overnight sleeper train or a VIP bus between Bangkok and Chiang Mai: it costs about $18-31 and saves you a night's accommodation.

Albania
Eat lunch at a byrektore or a grill for qofte and sufllaqe, and save seafood dinners for one or two nights. Beachfront restaurants in Ksamil charge close to Greek prices.

Mexico
Use DiDi over Uber in big cities. It usually runs 10-20% cheaper, and the gap widens at surge times. Skip street taxis that don't use a meter.

Questions
Do I need an account?+
No. Start a trip right away. Sign in with your email when you want your trips backed up and on your other devices.
Where do exchange rates come from?+
We capture rates from a public exchange-rate feed several times a day and keep a daily history. Each expense remembers the rate from when you logged it.
What happens when I go over my daily budget?+
You’ll see it clearly, along with how the whole trip is doing. One big day is fine if the trip is still on pace.
Is it free?+
The core app is free: unlimited expenses, every currency, offline. Pro will add sync, backup and deeper history.
iPhone or Android?+
Both are on the way. Until then, Nomad Budget works in your phone’s browser: open app.nomadbudget.com and add it to your home screen.
